IN TODAY'S COMPLEX TIMES, SIMPLICITY IS EVERYTHING
Jesus was a master storyteller. He had a way of making the complexities of His time simple.
Albert Einstein had it right. And incidentally, so does Jesus. In quite an interesting contrast, 'religious folk' have a way of 'getting in the way'—creating massive systems, spiritual roadblocks, and hurtful situations that complicate a life that is already complex enough. Yet, Jesus found a way to take 1,500 years of law, lineage, and layered tradition—and wrap it up in what could be summed up in two words: "love well".
It is with that heart for simplicity and love of God and people that we aim to remove current roadblocks that stand in the way of the life, wisdom, and understanding accessible in following Jesus. We do so through a growing community of love and diversity called Hope.
Hope is a local Baptist Church in the heart of Buckingham Park Estate in Jubilee Square, Aylesbury, UK, that is magically, supernaturally, or at minimum, beautifully drawing all kinds. From healthcare workers and IT specialists to transport professionals, financial advisors, students, and retirees, our community includes people from many cultures, representing a rich diversity of nations across the globe—all coming together weekly as a church where anyone can simply follow Jesus.

'ZOOM IN' ON THE BIBLE
Wednesday ZOOM Nights
We do a weekly deep dive into the ancient, sacred scriptures commonly referred to as the Bible, made of 66 'books' that are a collection of historical narratives, law, poetry, prophecy, wisdom literature, letters to churches, 'gospel' records, apocalyptic literature, parables, genealogies, and lamentations, that ALL point toward the 'God-man' called Jesus. Sound interesting?!? We think so. Why not join us?
IN-PERSON COMMUNITY
Each Sunday afternoon, we gather in-person at the community centre on Buckingham Park Estate, to spend time together as a circle of friends for the power of community in simply catching up with one another, sharing stories, singing songs, lifting our spirits in thanks and wonder up to the God of wonders, and listening to stories and teachings from the book of wisdom—the sacred text of scripture so many refer to today as the Bible.
